    Position Title:  Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - Full Time (FT) - Third Shift
    Department:  Laboratory
    Reports to: Director, Laboratory

    Your Role on the Team

    As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you’ll play a vital part in patient care by delivering accurate and timely laboratory results. Your work will span a variety of lab technologies and responsibilities, including:

    • Collecting and labeling specimens correctly — including DOT-regulated urine drug screens and breath alcohol testing.

    • Ensuring proper specimen identification and correcting any discrepancies.

    • Conducting a broad range of clinical lab tests to aid in diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patients.

    • Performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting lab instruments according to policies and manufacturer guidance.

    • Evaluating results for abnormalities, answering technical questions, and ensuring data accuracy.

    • Participating in process improvements, equipment evaluations, and procedure reviews.

     

    What You'll Bring:

    • Associate’s degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology (or equivalent 60 credit hours with 24 in lab science).

    • ASCP certification (or equivalent) as an MLT is strongly encouraged.

    • Strong grasp of lab theory, testing methods, and best practices.

    • Independent, critical thinker with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
