Medical Laboratory Scientist 

Looking for a new laboratory opportunity?
A healthcare organization in Chapel Hill is seeking an experienced MLS to support its clinical laboratory team.

Position Highlights

• Full-time laboratory opportunity
• Perform CLIA-defined testing and advanced laboratory procedures
• Work independently while serving as a technical resource
• Blood Bank responsibilities including Type & Screen, Antibody ID, DAT, eluates, phenotyping & antigen typing
• Experience with MTP, emergency release, irradiation & product modifications
• Perform QC, proficiency testing, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance
• Opportunities to train new employees and teach students
• Participate in special projects and process improvement

What We're Looking For

• MLS/MT: Bachelor’s in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science + ASCP/AMT certification
• Experience requirements vary by education/certification pathway
• Strong Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine experience
• Able to work independently and make sound technical decisions
