    Hourly Pay 35.39
    Work Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 3:00 pm - 1:30 am
    Second Shift Differential: 9% and 3rd Shift Differential 14%
    Weekend Shift Differential 8%

    What to Expect

    Grade 118
    Hourly Pay 35.39 - MLS I
    Work Schedule:  Wednesday - Saturday 3:00 pm - 1:30 am
    Second Shift Differential:  9% and 3rd Shift Differential 14%
    Weekend Shift Differential 8%

    As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to

    • Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.(Ref Lab)
    • Perform production, processing, and labeling of blood components and blood donations (Manu Lab)
    • Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.
    • Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.
    • Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success.
    • Bachelor's degree in biology, Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent (must receive MLS certification within 6 months of eligibility)
    • or
    • Bachelor's degree in approved Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc) and currently possess certification from an accredited agency as MT/MLS
    • State licensure as required by regulations

    Experience

    • 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist educational requirements
    • or
    • 5 years or more experience as Medical Laboratory Technician

    REQUIREMENTS:

    KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION

    Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science required or equivalent education, training and/or experience with certification as a Medical Technologist by a recognized certifying agency.

    Medical Laboratory Technician with Associates degree with experience in high complexity testing and meets state licensure defined criteria.

    LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

    Certification as a Medical Technologist/MLS/BB by a recognized certifying agency required. Must be eligible for ASCP Certification

    Must be eligible for Nevada CLS License

    Preferred Qualification: Eligibility for Nevada Supervisory License

    Preferred Qualification: ASCP Certification

    EXPERIENCE

    0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist educational requirements OR 5 years or more experience for the Medical Laboratory Technician.
