Medical Laboratory Scientist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist to perform laboratory tests, maintain accurate records, and ensure quality control while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines. Qualifications: Education: BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or Associates degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.

Title: Medical Lab Scientist/ Technologist
Location:Grand Rapids, MI
Duration: 2-3  Months (Possibility of Extension/ Temp to Hire)
Shift: 1st Shift - 40hrs/week

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist to perform laboratory tests, maintain accurate records, and ensure quality control while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Process specimens and perform analyses using approved testing procedures.
• Release test results, ensuring compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, and safety protocols.
• Maintain quality control records, document all testing activities, and follow corrective action protocols when necessary.
• Report critical results, assist with customer inquiries, and ensure a clean and organized lab environment.
• Participate in training and safety programs and assist with regulatory inspections as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or Associates degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• Experience: 1+ year of clinical laboratory experience with high complexity testing (preferred).
• Certifications: State of National MLT Certification is required.
