Job Title: Medical Lab Scientist I
Functional Group: Clinical/Scientific
Duration: 5 months (Extendable or hire FT based on performance)
Schedule: Week 1: Thurs, Fri, Sat and Week 2: Sun, Thurs, Fri - 6am-6:30pm & 12 hours per day, 36 hours in a week 

Requirements:
1-2 years of hospital lab experience preferred 
ASCP or AMT certification is required
Generalist with blood bank experience
Cerner PathNet EMR exp
Good communication skills
Self-Directed

Small critical access hospital. After the completion of training, the MLS
may work alone. Responsible for all areas of the laboratory including blood bank and limited micro.
Responsibilities are interchangeable within job titles of medical laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist or clinical laboratory scientist. Work environment/department will be listed in requirement. Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving. Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
