Position: Medical Lab Technician

Salary: $30-$45 per hour

Contract status: salary will be by 1099

Contract Details:

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of a medical technologist

- Prepare and analyze samples such as blood, urine, and tissue for diagnostic purposes

- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments

- Maintain accurate records of tests and results

- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care

- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities

- Keep up-to-date with advancements in laboratory technology and techniques

- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Requirements:

- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field

- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by a nationally recognized accrediting agency

- 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Lab Technician in a clinical setting

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficient in using laboratory equipment and computer systems

- Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control protocols

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Flexibility to work different shifts and weekends if needed
