Job Description:

Vitalant is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our training department to mentor and support our Transfusion Services division in Pittsburgh.Your impact as a Medical Lab Scientist is vital. Base Wage: $35.89 / hour - $48.93/ hour (based on role)

As a Med Lab Scientist Trainer, you'll get to:

• Mentor new employees
• Conduct Medical Lab Generalist (6 weeks) new hire training.
• Conduct Medical Lab Scientist (8 weeks) new hire training.
• Track competency compliance.
• Take on new projects and create trainings

EXPERIENCE

Medical Lab Scientist I

• Bachelor's degree in medical Lab Science or MLS certification required.

• Certification as MLS required within 6 months of employment.

• Pay: $32.17/hour

Medical Lab Scientist II

• MLS/BB certification required.

• 2 years in a clinical laboratory setting required.

• Pay: $35.89/hour - $37/hour

Medical Lab Scientist III

• ​SBB certification preferred. MLS/BB certification required.

• 3 years lab experience with 1-year IRL required.

• 2 years lead/charge experience required.

• Pay $41.27/hour - $42.55/hour
