A part‑time Medical Office Administrator in an orthotics and prosthetics clinic plays a central role in keeping daily operations running smoothly. This position blends patient support, clinical coordination, and administrative precision. You’re the first point of contact for patients, the organizational backbone for clinicians, and the person who ensures documentation, scheduling, and insurance processes stay accurate and timely. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of customer service, healthcare administration, and hands‑on operational support in a specialized medical environment.

Job Responsibilities

Greet patients, manage check‑ins, and maintain a welcoming, professional environment.
Answer phone calls, emails, and messages; triage inquiries to the appropriate clinician or department.
Verify patient demographics, update records, and ensure all required documentation is complete before appointments.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in medical administration preferred
1–2 years of experience in a medical office, rehabilitation clinic, or similar healthcare setting
Familiarity with medical terminology, especially related to orthotics, prosthetics, physical therapy, or durable medical equipment
Experience with scheduling systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and basic insurance verification
Strong customer service background with direct patient interaction
Ability to manage confidential information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
