Medical Front Desk Specialist

Manage incoming and outgoing faxes via RightFax, batch orders and scripts into the system, follow up with ordering provider offices for clarification when needed, and assist with general administrative tasks.

Position Summary
A dedicated Medical Front Desk Specialist is needed for a healthcare facility in Mercer County, NJ, focusing on patient reception and clinical prep for mammography and breast imaging services. This role expedites patient care by managing check-in/out procedures, verifying patient records, and ensuring individuals are fully prepared for their mammogram appointments upon arrival.
Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet patients, manage check-in and check-out workflows, and accurately verify all demographic information upon arrival for routine screening and diagnostic mammograms.
• Clearly explain all pre-mammogram instructions (e.g., specific imaging guidelines such as avoiding deodorants, lotions, or powders on exam day) in accessible language, ensuring full patient understanding.
• Verify insurance contract requirements for scheduled mammography exams, confirming coverage details and reminding patients of necessary documentation prior to their visit.
• Manage incoming and outgoing faxes via RightFax, batch orders and scripts into the system, follow up with ordering provider offices for clarification when needed, and assist with general administrative tasks.
• Maintain communication with the Lead regarding workflow concerns, support departmental wait-time standards, attend regular staff meetings, and adhere strictly to facility policies and compliance guidelines.

Schedule

• Tuesday – Saturdays: 6:30am-2:30pm
• Must be flexible as the schedule could change to shortened hours, depending on radiologist availability and how many appointments are scheduled. 

Pay

• $20-$21 an hour
