We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Medical Education Center Director II on our Education Center team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 3 days a week in the office.
This role will provide leadership and strategic guidance to advance AMA Ed Hub and AMAs education portfolio and contribute to long-term planning decisions. Serve as physician advisor, shaping the selection, development, dissemination, and implementation of education products and programs that support physicians across their career journey, advance their professional development, and achieve business goals. Responsible for collaboratively developing, executing and managing content, delivery and learner engagement strategies and messages to shape and influence reach, adoption and impact of B2B and B2C education solutions. Evaluate, review, and edit content for quality and relevance to clinical audience. Represent strategy to constituents and external stakeholders. This role is recognized as an external thought leader within a strategic business unit or job discipline and requires broad and comprehensive expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques and/or technologies within the field. This role proactively identifies and solves problems that impact the management and direction of the AMA and influences strategy development and long-term planning.

REQUIREMENTS:
MD or DO required
10+ years of experience in clinical care
Demonstrated knowledge of theories, trends, and principles of medical education, graduate medical
education, and continuing professional development required.
5+ years experience in people management preferred
3+ years spent in an administrative or education role in a health care provider or medical education organization.
Knowledge and familiarity with the adult educational application of new technologies.
Experience with teaching in the clinical setting and in developing continuing medical education programs.
Knowledge of requirements from standard-setting organizations for medical education at all levels (eg, LCME, COCA, ACGME, ACCME, ABMS) required. Established relationships with one or more desired.
Excellent relationship building, negotiation, collaboration and facilitation skills with the ability to exercise diplomacy, tact, professionalism, responsiveness, and flexibility.
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in critical evaluation of the medical literature. Previous experience with medical editing is desirable.
Demonstrated accomplishments in program evaluation using multi-method approaches and analysis of data to determine program outcomes and effectiveness.
Excellent speaking and writing ability required. A track record of scholarship, presentations, report writing, and peer-reviewed publication required.
Some travel (estimated at 20%) and representation required.

This role is an exempt position, and the salary range for this position is $240,720-$324,870. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employees pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration and geographical location, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
