Medical Director – Wound Care

Korzen Health, in collaboration with Healogics and Midtown Medical Center, is seeking a Medical Director to lead our wound care program in Columbus, GA.
This is an excellent opportunity for a physician looking for a part-time leadership role, 2–3 days per week, while remaining actively involved in the clinical care of patients with chronic and complex wounds.
Position Highlights

- Provide clinical oversight and leadership to the wound care program
- Evaluate and treat patients with chronic and complex wounds
- Opportunity to work with an experienced multidisciplinary team
- No nights or weekends
- Support, resources, and training provided
Medical Director Responsibilities
- Provide medical leadership and clinical oversight for the wound care center
- Evaluate and manage patients with chronic, complex, diabetic, pressure, vascular, and other wounds
- Perform appropriate wound care procedures, including debridement
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other members of the care team
- Monitor clinical outcomes and promote evidence-based wound care practices
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for the wound care team
- Help ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered wound care
Ideal Candidate
- MD or DO with an active Georgia medical license
- Board certified or board eligible in an appropriate specialty
- Wound care experience preferred
- Comfortable performing wound care procedures and debridement
- Strong clinical leadership and communication skills
- Enjoys working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Passionate about improving outcomes for patients with chronic wounds
