Opportunity Overview
MD Staffing Services is seeking a Medical Director / Primary Care Physician to provide full-time clinical care and physician leadership at a Veterans Affairs Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Pottsville, Pennsylvania.
This is an outpatient opportunity serving our nation's Veterans in a multidisciplinary clinical environment. The physician will provide comprehensive primary care while supporting clinical oversight, quality, continuity of care, and the day-to-day clinical operations of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to adult Veterans
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight within the outpatient clinic
- Support and guide clinical staff as appropriate
- Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient cases
- Promote quality, patient safety, and continuity of care
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Coordinate specialty referrals and follow-up care as appropriate
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Comply with applicable VA policies, clinical standards, and facility procedures
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active Pennsylvania medical license
- Current DEA registration
- Current BLS certification
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Must successfully complete required credentialing and privileging
Compensation
W-2: $300,000–$312,000 annually
1099: Open to consideration
