Description

TeamHealth is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused anesthesiologist to join our collaborative surgical services team at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will provide high-quality anesthesia care across a variety of surgical specialties while working closely with surgeons, nursing staff, certified registered nurse anesthetists, and perioperative personnel to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients before surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures to develop individualized anesthesia plans
  • Administer general, regional, monitored anesthesia care, and local anesthesia as appropriate
  • Monitor patients' physiological status before, during, and after procedures, ensuring safe and effective anesthesia management
  • Manage acute perioperative pain and provide postoperative pain control recommendations
  • Respond promptly to anesthesia-related emergencies and participate in airway management throughout the hospital
  • Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient safety and surgical outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review activities, and patient safety programs
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based clinical practices
  • Participate in an equitable on-call schedule as assigned
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine 
  • Completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency program
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in anesthesiology
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • Current DEA registration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • Experience practicing in a community hospital setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and multidisciplinary collaboration
