    Korzen Health is seeking a physician leader to serve as Medical Director for a hospital-based Wound Care Center in the Shreveport, Louisiana market. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide clinical oversight and program leadership in collaboration with Healogics and CHRISTUS Highland Medical Center — without the demands of daily patient care.

    Position Summary

    This is a leadership-only role focused on medical oversight and Nurse Practitioner collaboration.

    • No clinic shifts

    • No direct patient care responsibilities

    • No nights, weekends, or call

    • Monday–Friday outpatient setting

    The Medical Director will provide clinical guidance, ensure protocol compliance, and support quality initiatives while serving as a key liaison between the wound care program and hospital leadership.

    Local residence in the Shreveport area is required to meet hospital oversight standards.

    Program Overview

    For more than 25 years, Healogics has partnered with hospitals nationwide to deliver advanced wound care services. With over 600 wound care centers across the United States and more than 300,000 patients treated annually, Healogics is recognized as the industry leader in wound healing.

    The outpatient center operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, within the CHRISTUS Highland Medical Center. The program features an appointment-based model and is supported by an experienced interdisciplinary team.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide NP supervision and required collaboration

    • Oversee clinical protocols and regulatory compliance

    • Conduct periodic chart reviews and case discussions

    • Lead quality improvement initiatives

    • Support program development and strategic growth

    • Serve as a clinical resource for staff and hospital partners

    Clinical & Operational Support
    • Dedicated case manager

    • Hyperbaric nurses and certified wound care staff

    • Full administrative and operational support

    • Access to advanced wound care modalities and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) therapy

    Compensation & Professional Growth

    Qualifications
    • MD or DO

    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in a core specialty

    • Active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license

    • Active DEA registration

    • Procedural background preferred

    • Must reside locally per hospital requirements.
