Located just outside historic Charleston on beautiful Johns Island, Sun Dog Cat Moon is an established, highly respected small-animal (dog & cat) general practice offering a full spectrum of companion-animal care — preventive medicine, dentistry, surgery, and daytime urgent care — with the integrative therapies such as acupuncture and laser therapy. As Medical Director, you'll own the medical direction of a hospital known for thoughtful medicine, client education, and strong team relationships — with the autonomy to practice your way and the work-life experience of living in a coastal community.

What You'll Do
Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care to companion animals
Lead and mentor associate veterinarians and support staff

Help guide strategic growth and future initiatives for the hospital
Qualifications & Competencies
What We're Looking For
DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school
Active South Carolina veterinary license (or ability to obtain one)
A confident companion-animal clinician — open to first-time leaders; prior leadership preferred, not required
Comfort with routine surgery and dentistry in general practice
Strong communication, mentorship, and relationship-building skills
Openness to integrative/complementary medicine is a plus, not a requirement
