Medical Director - AP/CP General Surgical Pathologist

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Medical Director to lead a well-established pathology practice serving a large regional medical center on Florida's Gulf Coast. This leadership opportunity is ideal for a board-certified pathologist with strong expertise in general surgical pathology and a passion for collaboration, clinical excellence, and quality patient care.
As Medical Director, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team in a modern hospital environment that offers a diverse case mix and advanced specialty services.
Qualifications
Board Certified in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology (AP/CP)
Minimum of three years of hospital-based pathology experience preferred
Strong proficiency in:
General Surgical Pathology
Clinical pathology interpretations
Frozen section procedures
Subspecialty training or expertise in Breast Pathology or Lung Pathology is a plus!
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, hospital staff, laboratory personnel, and referring providers
Active Florida Medical License or eligibility to obtain one (FCVS participation is a plus)
Practice Highlights
Approximately 3,100 surgical pathology cases annually
Rapid On-Site Evaluation (ROSE) for lung procedures
