Extrusion Operator3rd Shift (9:30pm - 6:00am)Required Education:High School DiplomaPreferred Education:2-year technical degreeRequired Qualifications:2+ years of extrusion experience with demonstrated experience in extrusion, tooling, troubleshooting equipment, and performing machine and process set-upsExperience in GMPProficient computer experiencePreferred Qualifications:Medical Device industry experiencePosition Responsibilities:Elevate productivity and quality concerns to appropriate resourcesTake initiative to be involved with leadership responsibility, such as scrap reduction, cycle time reduction, setup reduction, and other continuous improvement as necessaryOrder production tooling and supply itemsContact outside resources when necessary, such as a manufacturing engineer, quality engineer, or other equipment support servicesEstablish an effective working relationship with operators, group lead, and department supportPerform all tear-downs and set-ups for extruders and co-extrudersAchieve and maintain extruders with established cycle time and process parametersRead and understand tooling prints, part prints, processes, and documentationFill out documentation correctlyPerform accurate manufacturing parts inspectionEffectively use quality equipment such as gauges, tooling scope, micrometer, or rulerDiagnose and troubleshoot basic processing errors such as O.D, I.D., ovality, concentricity, or FMUnderstand material properties and their effect it has on quality and the processPerform basic maintenance on extruders and auxiliary equipment such as driers, melt filter, blow off table, cutters, or pullersOnly those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.
