Job Summary
Medical Core: The Medical Core Instructor provides basic instruction to prepare high school students for entry-level employment in the Health Care Services profession. Topics include socio-economic issues affecting health care in the United States, anatomy and physiology, pathologies of the various systems, job titles and changes in levels of responsibilities, basic medical terminology, and career planning. This course assists with preparation for a career in the medical field. Medical Assistant: The Medical Assistant Instructor provides basic instruction to prepare high school students for entry-level employment in the Health Care Services profession. RUSD requires applicants to have a valid California Designated Subjects Credential in Health Science and Medical Technology, and knowledge of industry standards as related to professional experience in the Medical industry. Applicants must hold a CLAD or similar authorization for instruction to English Learners. BA or higher preferred. Please submit the following: • Letter of Introduction/Interest • Resume • Credential Copy (valid California Designated Subjects Credential in Health Science and Medical Technology) • Three letters of recommendation (preferably within the last year and from at least one direct supervisor) • Transcripts (Copies of all college coursework credits including BA) • CLAD/BCLAD or similar English Learner Authorization All required documents must be attached as part of your Ed-join application. We do not accept any faxed, emailed, or mailed documents. The District provides an excellent benefits package including Employee and Dependent Health, Dental, and Vision coverage.
