Job Description Summary: The role of the Nursing Coordinator is to schedule nurses with patients in a timely manner. A successful Nursing Coordinator should be able to communicate efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. The goal is to ensure that the company’s staffing requirements are always met, and employees work in a friendly, supportive environment.
Job Description: Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)
Investigate pharmacies staffing needs and take action to staff accordingly
Schedule, organize and implement a sustainable staffing strategy
Work with other staff members to fulfill the needs of patients and nurses’ schedules
Identify hard to fill schedules and take proactive actions
Possess excellent communication and written skills to effectively speak to employees, patients and pharmacies
Prepare and submit reports on staffing operations
Update nurses’ calendars daily
Education and/or Experience Requirements
College degree preferred
2+ years experience working in healthcare
1+ year experience working in staffing nurses
Basic Qualifications
Good time-management skills with the ability to handle various open referrals simultaneously
Excellent verbal, written communication skills and critical thinking skills
