For over 20 years Riverhills Neuroscience has been the region's premier provider of comprehensive neuroscience care by offering a complete diagnosis, education, treatment and rehabilitation services for individuals with the diseases and injuries of the nervous system.Job Overview for Medical Collections Specialist:Responds timely and accurately to all incoming patient telephone calls, correspondence, and inquiries.Review and analyze patient service inquiries, complaints and validation of patient liability.Contacts patients/guarantors (via mail & telephone) regarding outstanding accounts receivable for services rendered.Establishes satisfactory payment arrangements when patients are unable to pay balances in full.Documents all patient collections communication/activity within the practice management system in a timely and accurate manner.Ensures and adheres to strict confidentiality when handling patient information, according to state/federal regulations (HIPAA, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act,Federal Government Poverty Guidelines, etc.).All other duties as assigned.Background and Experience for Medical Collections Specialist:Required - Working knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).Preferred - At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in medical patient collections within a hospital or healthcare practice.Ability to calmly handle multiple tasks at once.Sound judgment, maturity, and an ability to establish good rapport with patients, physicians, vendors, and staff.Ability to deal with patients, physicians and staff with tact and diplomacy.Good interpersonal skills.Benefits for Full Time Employees:401k with Profit Sharing and Company MatchMedical, Dental, and Vision insuranceLong Term and Short Term Disability InsuranceLife InsurancePaid Holidays3+ Weeks of Paid Time OffContinuing Education ReimbursementUniform AllowanceFree ParkingIf you are interested in becoming part of a world-class healthcare team, please apply today.Equal Opportunity/Drug Free Work-place
