Grand Peaks Medical is looking for a dependable, long-term Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health Certified Coder to become a valued member of our growing team! These are full-time, in-person positions based at our Idaho Falls clinic.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred but not required. We're looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, efficient, and ready to thrive in a supportive and fast-paced healthcare environment.
What You'll Do:
- Process a wide range of medical claims
- Create claims, perform medical coding risk assessment
- Assign codes for diagnoses and procedures
- Ensures accurate billing and reimbursement
- Good understanding of ICD-10 codes, maximizing specified diagnosis codes, CPT and modifiers
- Understand and apply relevant laws
- Knowledge of OB billing preferred
- In depth understanding and training in areas of medical terminology, anatomy and coding guidelines

Requirements
This is an in-person position (not remote)
- Must pass a criminal background check
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must have experience and training in medical coding, or equivalent experience in patient care or the health insurance industry
- Certified Coder certificate is required
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Must be a self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Must be able to train in our St. Anthony location
