    Job Title: Billing Specialist – OB/GYN The Group

    Location: Onsite, no remote, Davenport, IA
    Job Type: Full-Time

    Position Summary:
    The Billing Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of medical billing, including claim submission, payment posting, and follow-up on outstanding claims. The ideal candidate has experience with OB/GYN billing, understands payer guidelines, and can work independently while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Submit accurate and timely insurance claims (electronic and paper)
    • Review and resolve claim rejections and denials
    • Follow up with insurance companies on unpaid or underpaid claims
    • Post payments, adjustments, and patient payments
    • Verify patient insurance and benefits as needed
    • Work accounts receivable reports and aging
    • Communicate with patients regarding billing questions and balances
    • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations (CPT, ICD-10)
    • Collaborate with clinical and front office staff to resolve billing issues

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of medical billing experience (OB/GYN preferred)
    • Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and insurance guidelines
    • Experience with EHR/PM systems (eClinicalWorks, Athena, or similar preferred)
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in women’s health or specialty practice billing
    • Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payers
    • Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or similar certification (a plus)
