Medical Billing Auditor | Medical Insurance Denial Representative

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Pay: Up to $20

Required Experience:

• Experience reading and interpreting EOBs.
• Experience working insurance denials and understanding denial codes and modifiers.
• At least 2 years of current, relevant experience required.

Position Summary:

The Billing Office Representative is responsible for processing medical claims, verifying patient information, preparing and submitting claims, ensuring claims are billed correctly, researching outstanding payments, requesting medical records, and handling additional documentation as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Verify patient billing information.
• Process claims within the billing system, including data entry.
• Scan paperwork into the imaging system.
• Follow up with insurance carriers regarding payments and denials.
• Forward information to the appropriate department for completion.
• Request medical records as needed.
• Rebill and appeal claims when necessary.
• Assist with medical billing and coding.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
