Medical Assistant
Williamsburg VA
Pay From $19 Per Hour
MUST:
Experienced Medical Assistant
2+years of experience working as a medical assistant
Experience drawing blood
Experience working in a high volume setting
Experience rooming patients and obtaining vitals
Assisting with exams and procedures and acting as a back up to the endoscopy tech
Reviewing procedures with patients and preps prior to procedures
Returning patients phone calls and triage phone calls
Comfortable cleaning and respocessing scopes
Experience processing prescriptions
Must have strong experience documenting information in EMR
DUTIES:
The duties of the medical assistant include but are not limited to the following:
Room patients
Obtain vitals
Draw Blood
Assist with exams and procedures including endoscopies
Triage phone calls
Return patient calls from voicemails left
Act as a back up to the endoscopy tech
Clean and reprocess scops
Review procedures and preps with candidates
Process prescriptions and refills
Document information in EMR
Provide office support as needed
