Schedule: Monday – Thursday
Shift Time: 6:45 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $24.00/hour
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to provide both front-office and back-office support in a patient-focused healthcare environment. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient intake, scheduling, clinical procedures, documentation, and other day-to-day clinical support activities.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare staff while providing a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and assist with the check-in process.
- Room patients and prepare them for appointments.
- Obtain and document patient vital signs.
- Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.
- Administer vaccines as directed and within scope of practice.
- Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing.
- Schedule patient appointments and assist with front-office activities.
- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries appropriately.
- Enter and update patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Provide clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers and staff.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and records.
- Follow established clinical, safety, and infection-control procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to support efficient daily operations.
- Support health education and outreach initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, in addition to any externship experience.
- Medical Assistant certification is strongly preferred.
- Previous phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required.
- Previous Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required.
- Strong front-office and back-office medical assistant experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Comfortable working with computers and healthcare technology.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients.
- Current BLS or CPR certification.
