NOW HIRING: MEDICAL ASSISTANT – MULTI-SPECIALTY PRACTICE

Location: West Palm Beach, FL
Pay:$20–$22/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Assignment: Short-Term/Temporary
Specialties: Rheumatology & Gynecology

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to support a busy multi-specialty physician practice in West Palm Beach, FL.

The Medical Assistant will initially support Rheumatology and ultimately transition to supporting Gynecology. This practice follows a high-touch patient care model, seeing approximately 6 patients per day.

The ideal candidate is proactive, capable, patient-focused, and an excellent communicator with strong hands-on clinical skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare patients for physician and nursing examinations

• Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, and screenings

• Perform blood draws/phlebotomy

• Perform EKGs as ordered

• Collect, label, and process specimens according to established protocols

• Assist physicians and nurses with procedures and examinations, including pelvic exams and other specialty procedures

• Maintain accurate patient documentation and medical records

• Prepare examination rooms and ensure appropriate supplies are stocked

• Follow infection control, PPE, patient identification, and equipment sterilization protocols

• Assist with pre-visit chart preparation

• Coordinate patient care and support efficient patient flow

• Perform administrative duties including answering phones, filing, processing forms, and maintaining records

• Provide compassionate, professional communication to patients throughout their visit

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with certificate plus at least 1 year of MA experience, OR 2+ years of experience working as a Medical Assistant

• Blood draw/phlebotomy experience required

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Current BLS certification

• Strong patient-care and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and proactively in a clinical environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience

• Previous Gynecology and/or Rheumatology experience

• Epic experience

• Additional certifications such as Phlebotomy, EMT, or CNA

EMR

The practice currently utilizes TouchWorks and is scheduled to transition to Epic in November 2026.

Pay: $20–$22/hour
