Position Details
  • Position: Medical Assistant
  • Location: West Hollywood, CA
  • Schedule: Monday Friday
  • Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of Certified Medical Assistant experience
  • Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
  • Current BLS Certification (AHA or ARC only)
Job Responsibilities
  • Room oncology patients and prepare them for rehabilitation appointments.
  • Obtain and document height, weight, vital signs, and patient assessments.
  • Record patient histories, medications, allergies, and treatment-related concerns.
  • Assist providers with examinations, injections, Botox treatments, and Qutenza patch procedures.
  • Position and drape patients appropriately for evaluations and treatments.
  • Collect, label, and process patient specimens according to clinic protocols.
  • Review laboratory results and communicate information to providers as directed.
  • Coordinate referrals to wellness, survivorship, resilience, and rehabilitation programs.
  • Assist with scheduling and patient follow-up communications.
  • Support telephone triage and pharmacy refill requests when necessary.
  • Prepare charts and maintain accurate Epic documentation.
  • Assist with insurance verification and authorization processes.
  • Order and stock clinic supplies.
  • Maintain infection prevention and patient safety standards.
  • Provide compassionate support to oncology patients undergoing rehabilitation services.
