    Job Summary

    The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care in an outpatient clinic under the supervision of a licensed provider. This role supports daily clinical operations and ensures patients receive efficient, high-quality care.

    This position is based at a locally owned and operated franchise location. Specific responsibilities and benefits may vary by site.


    Responsibilities

    • Record vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit; prepare patients for examination
    • Educate patients on procedures, treatments, and follow-up care
    • Perform ordered tests accurately and promptly
    • Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
    • Perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for in-house or reference lab processing
    • Conduct laboratory testing, quality controls, and routine equipment maintenance
    • Manage lab results, patient call-backs, and follow-up communication
    • Complete drug screenings in accordance with regulatory guidelines
    • Administer and document immunizations properly
    • Coordinate referrals and obtain service pre-authorizations when needed
    • Prepare and maintain exam rooms; clean and sterilize instruments and equipment
    • Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
    • Support additional clinic duties as assigned


    Qualifications

    • Associate degree from an accredited two-year college or technical school, or
    • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience
    • AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required
    • Spanish-speaking candidates preferred
