Job Details:
Schedule: Monday through Friday, need coverage for 4 days per week Hours are typically 8 am-4:30 pm, 9 am-5:30 pm or 10 am-7 pm (1 day per week, every other week)
Location: Will be covering two locations: 1. Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302 2. West Bloomfield 48322
Job Type: Local contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Pay Range: $17 to $20/hour
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Duties:

• Perform initial-response screening according to protocols approved by the supervising provider.
• Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Obtain vital signs and patient histories and document information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer and document medications and immunizations as ordered, following established protocols and medication administration guidelines.
• Document patient care and respond to patient requests through telephone encounters, In-Basket messages, and MyChart.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS- American Heart Association (AHA) certification.

Must meet one of the following educational or experience pathways:

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR
• Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR
• Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR
• Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.OR
• Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
