A medical practice is seeking a dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant to support patient care, clinical workflows, and day-to-day office operations. The Medical Assistant will assist with rooming patients, taking vitals, documenting information, supporting procedures, coordinating care, and helping ensure the practice runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients in a friendly, professional manner
- Take and record vital signs, patient history, medications, and reason for visit
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, and routine clinical tasks
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies are stocked and organized
- Perform basic clinical duties such as injections, specimen collection, EKGs, or point-of-care testing, as assigned and within scope
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
- Communicate with patients regarding follow-up instructions, referrals, prescriptions, and basic care coordination
- Answer patient questions within scope and escalate clinical concerns to the provider or appropriate team member
- Support front office tasks as needed, including scheduling, phone calls, insurance updates, and patient communication
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, infection control, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Help create a welcoming and efficient patient experience in a small practice setting
