    Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Assistant role based in South Gate, CA. The Medical Assistant supports clinical providers by preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, documenting patient histories, and assisting with examinations and minor procedures. Daily responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, updating and maintaining medical records, processing referrals, and ensuring accurate entry of information into the medical office systems. The role also involves providing patient care instructions, assisting with scheduling and follow-up, and helping maintain a clean, safe environment that complies with clinic policies and regulatory standards. The Medical Assistant collaborates closely with clinicians and administrative staff to support efficient, patient-centered care.

    Qualifications

    • Strong Medical Assisting skills, including taking vitals, assisting with exams, and supporting clinical procedures.
    • \n
    • Knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately communicate and document information in a clinical setting.
    • \n
    • Experience in a Medical Office environment, including scheduling, patient intake, and coordination of patient flow.
    • \n
    • Competence in Patient Care, including patient preparation, education, and basic clinical support aligned with provider instructions.
    • \n
    • Ability to manage Medical Records with attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
    • \n
    • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification or registration as a Medical Assistant preferred.
    • \n
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification, or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
    • \n
    • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.
    • \n
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
    • \n
    • Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to follow clinical protocols and safety procedures.
