Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description
This role supports physicians and clinicians in a clinical oncology setting by assisting with direct patient care, promoting efficient patient flow, and performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks. The medical assistant helps prepare patients and exam rooms for visits and procedures, documents key clinical information, and supports the physician's schedule while adhering to established compliance, ethics, and business standards.

Work Environment
This position is based in an oncology office operating Monday through Friday from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role involves working closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment that is part of a large oncology network. The medical assistant uses electronic medical record and electronic health record systems regularly for documentation and order entry. The physical demands of the role include standing and walking for extended periods, frequent use of hands and fingers, and eye-hand coordination to perform clinical tasks. The position requires handling and lifting patients, assisting with patient transfers, and occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 pounds. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range are needed to safely perform clinical duties. The environment requires strict adherence to infection control, disinfection protocols, and safe handling of medical equipment and supplies, supporting a professional clinical setting focused on high-quality oncology care.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
