Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's healthcare facility in Shoreline, WA 98133. This is a 3-month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Duration: 3-month Contract (Possibility of extension or conversion)

Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm.

Float: Yes, 1 - 2 times / week between Shoreline and Edmonds location.

Pay rate: $27 - $29/hr. On W2.

• Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.

Responsibilities:

• Room patients and obtain vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight).
• Record patient medical history, medications, and allergies in the EMR/EHR.
• Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and prepare samples for laboratory testing.
• Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed.
• Perform EKGs and other basic diagnostic tests.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up visits.
• Verify insurance, obtain prior authorizations, and process referrals.
• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Clean, stock, and prepare examination rooms and medical equipment.
• Answer patient calls, respond to inquiries, and coordinate communication between patients and providers.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• MA-C is required.
• Current, BLS Certification
