Temporary Medical Assistant – Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and patient-focused Temporary Medical Assistant to support a healthcare office in Sarasota Commons, Florida. This individual will assist providers with daily clinical operations, help maintain an efficient patient flow, and provide excellent patient care. The ideal candidate is flexible, adaptable, and able to step into an established team and assist wherever needed.

Temporary Medical Assistant – Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers as needed.

• Obtain and document patient vital signs and medical histories.

• Update and maintain accurate patient charts.

• Assist with patient intake, check-in, and check-out.

• Perform basic clinical procedures within scope of practice.

• Assist with injections, specimen collection, and other clinical tasks as directed.

• Maintain clean examination rooms and properly stocked medical supplies.

• Communicate with patients regarding appointments and follow-up instructions.

• Support the clinical team with daily administrative and patient care responsibilities.

Temporary Medical Assistant – Additional Qualifications

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.

• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

• Ability to quickly learn office procedures and adapt to changing needs.

• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.

• Medical Assistant certification is a plus.
