Position Details

Position: Medical Assistant
Location: Santa Monica, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
Current BLS Certification
Current CMA Certification (AAMA, AMT, AMCA, NCCT, or NHA)
Experience with any EMR system required

Job Responsibilities

Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
Obtain and document vital signs and patient assessments.
Record patient history, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.
Assist providers during examinations and clinical procedures.
Perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
Label and process laboratory specimens accurately.
Conduct blood glucose testing using glucometers.
Collect urine specimens and provide clean-catch instructions.
Administer immunizations and TB tests as ordered.
Assist with nebulizer treatments when required.
Perform hearing and vision screening tests.
Remove sutures according to provider instructions.
Complete follow-up phone calls and patient communications.
Assist with pharmacy refill requests and telephone triage.
Maintain clinical supplies and ensure exam rooms are properly stocked.
Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
