Job Overview

San Ysidro Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support healthcare services at its Ocean View location in San Diego, California. The ideal candidate must meet California Medical Assistant training requirements, have completed the required externship, maintain current CPR/BLS certification, and be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED.

• Completion of a course of study that meets the Medical Assistant requirements specified by the Medical Board of California.

Experience

• Completion of the externship required by the Medical Assisting Program.

Certifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers CPR certification from the American Heart Association, or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification from the American Heart Association.

Language Skills

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
