Location: Rutherford, NJ (On-Site; local travel required)
Job Duration: 6+ Months with possibility of extension
Schedule: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

• 1 rotating Saturday per week: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to support daily clinical and administrative operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This is an on-site contractual role requiring flexibility, attention to detail, and strong patient care skills.

Top Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties including registration, scheduling, answering phones, chart preparation, and managing patient appointments
• Accurately document clinical information to facilitate patient care
• Obtain and document physical measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate; report abnormal results to providers
• Maintain refrigerator and quality control logs
• Organize and prepare patient care areas based on priorities
• Assist physicians with procedures
• Clean and sterilize medical instruments following standards
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures
• Stock exam rooms and manage medical supplies responsibly
• Order and restock supplies as needed
• Schedule ancillary tests and provide patients with related information
• Maintain patient areas in compliance with regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with providers regarding patient care
• Respect cultural diversity and balance speed with accuracy

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• 2+ years of experience in the medical field

Additional Details

• Dress Code/Scrubs: Blue scrubs
• Travel Required: Yes, approximately 50%

• Ability to complete occupational health screenings
