Medical Assistant - Sacramento, CA
Compensation: $20 - $25 hourly DOE

About the Job
This position is for a client-based pain management clinic located in Sacramento, California. The Medical Assistant will support physicians and clinical staff in both administrative and hands-on patient care tasks within an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include assisting during patient visits, taking vital signs, documenting medical information, and helping coordinate treatment plans. The ideal candidate is fluent in Russian and English and has experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment, preferably within pain management or a related specialty.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist providers during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments related to pain management.
Obtain and record patient vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints in the EHR system.
Prepare patients for procedures such as injections, trigger point therapy, or other interventional pain treatments.
Administer medications and injections as directed and within the scope of practice
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records documentation
Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, and follow-up appointments
Provide patient education regarding pain management plans, medications, and post-procedure care
Ensure exam rooms are stocked, cleaned, and properly prepared
Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and insurance documentation as needed
Follow all clinic policies, safety standards, and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
1–3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred, ideally in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, or a specialty outpatient clinic
Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred
Holds an active CPR/BLS certification
Clinical support in outpatient settings
Ability to take vital signs and document patient information accurately
EMR/EHR system experience
Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to assist with in-office procedures and patient intake
Basic understanding of medical terminology and clinical workflows
Familiarity with chronic pain conditions and pain management treatment processes preferred
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
Must be fluent in Russian and English (required)
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
