Certified Medical Assistant CMA — Monday–Friday Employee Health Clinic

A wellness-focused onsite employee health clinic in Reno, NV is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant CMA for a full-time contract assignment. This is a strong opportunity for a medical assistant who enjoys a steady weekday schedule, professional clinic environment, and meaningful patient interaction without the pace of a high-volume hospital unit.

You’ll support a primary care-style clinic serving an adult working population, helping providers deliver efficient, patient-centered care in a calm, team-oriented setting. This assignment is ideal for a CMA who is confident with rooming patients, vitals, medication history, injections, labs/specimen handling, documentation and front/back-office clinic flow.

Schedule

Monday–Friday
8:30 AM–5:00 PM
30-minute meal break
No weekends. No holidays.

What You’ll Do

As the CMA, you will help keep the clinic running smoothly by supporting both patient care and provider workflow. Responsibilities may include:

  • Rooming patients and collecting vital signs

  • Reviewing medical history, medications, allergies, and reason for visit

  • Assisting with primary care, wellness, preventive care, and occupational-health-adjacent visits as assigned

  • Preparing exam rooms and maintaining supplies

  • Performing or assisting with injections, point-of-care testing, specimen collection and lab processing within scope

  • Documenting accurately in Epic

  • Supporting patient follow-up, care coordination, and clinic communication

  • Maintaining a professional, confidential, service-focused experience for patients

  • Following OSHA, HIPAA, infection control and clinic safety standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Current Medical Assistant certification

  • Active BLS through the American Heart Association

  • Prior medical assistant experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, occupational health, employee health or similar clinic setting preferred

  • Comfortable using Epic or another EMR

  • Strong rooming, vitals, documentation and patient communication skills

  • Reliable availability for the full Monday–Friday schedule

  • Professional, discreet and comfortable working in a confidential onsite clinic environment
