Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and verifying information
  • Assist physicians and providers during examinations and minor procedures
  • Perform clinical tasks such as injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection as permitted
  • Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage follow-up care
  • Maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness, stocking, and compliance with infection control protocols
  • Handle patient inquiries, phone calls, and administrative tasks as needed
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • CMA, RMA, or relevant Medical Assistant experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Preferred:
    • 1+ years of clinical or outpatient experience
    • Experience with EMR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, etc.)
