Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and verifying information
Assist physicians and providers during examinations and minor procedures
Perform clinical tasks such as injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection as permitted
Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Schedule patient appointments and manage follow-up care
Maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness, stocking, and compliance with infection control protocols
Handle patient inquiries, phone calls, and administrative tasks as needed
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
Qualifications
Required:
CMA, RMA, or relevant Medical Assistant experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred:
1+ years of clinical or outpatient experience
Experience with EMR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, etc.)
