Baptist Health is seeking to add an energetic and dynamic Medical Assistant (MA) for our Baptist MD Anderson Radiation Oncology Clinic at Baptist South, located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time Days position with shifts Monday-Friday from 8-5 p.m.

Responsibilities of a Medical Assistant include:

• Providing nursing assistance to the physician and APP.
• Obtaining vital signs, weights, and heights.
• Greeting and chaperoning patients as needed during medical visits.
• Documenting in the medical record as indicated per role. Responsible for sending treatment start and stop letters to referring physicians.
• Conducting HCG tests as needed, processing requests, referrals, and helping with FMLA paperwork.
• Cross training with the Medical Records Coordinator and assisting as and where needed.
• Floating/rotating between clinics as needed.

Medical Assistant Experience:

• Less than 1 year of Medical Training Program
• Less than 1 year of Immunization Experience
• 1-2 years of Administrative Assistant Experience
• 1-2 years of Medical Office Experience
• 2 Years of Patient Care Experience
• 2 Years of Medical Assistant Experience
• 3-5 years of experience working in a Medical Office

Education & Credential Requirements: 

• High School Diploma Required

• Basic Life Support (AHA) Required

• Certified Medical Assistant Preferred
