Responsibilities: **Travel is required and may be to any of the following Norton Vascular Associates offices: Dupont Rd., Audubon, Downtown, Dixie, Brownsboro, Shelbyville, Clarksville, Elizabethtown, Campbellsville, Leitchfield, Jeffersonville, IN and Corydon, IN.**. Medical Assistants perform administrative and clinical duties under the direct supervision of a medical provider – physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner – in the medical office setting.

·Taking patients to rooms	·Greeting patients
·Obtaining vital signs	·Scheduling appointments
·Assisting with medical procedures	·Answering phones
·Performing phlebotomy	·Clerical & computer work
·Obtaining lab specimens	·Prior authorizations
·Adhering to safety and infection guidelines	·Billing and coding
·Maintaining electronic medical records (EMR)	·Faxing
·Calculating & administering medications & vaccinations	·Disability & Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) paperwork
