Medical Assistant | Primary Care | Day Shift | Full-time

Basic Life Support (CPR) required or must be obtained within the first month of employment and maintained throughout employment. Minimum of one year of experience working in a physician's office required.

Overview: The Medical Assistant works under the direction of the physician and in cooperation with the other office staff in assisting with safe and effective patient care in compliance with established standards and protocols of the practice and UF Health Central Florida goals and objectives. Qualifications:

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Post-high school special training required

• Associate degree preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant preferred

• Basic Life Support (CPR) required or must be obtained within the first month of employment and maintained throughout employment

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

• Minimum of one year of experience working in a physician's office required

• Experience with practice management systems preferred

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
