About the Role:
As a Medical Assistant in Podiatry at Quincy Medical Group, you will play an important role in supporting patients receiving specialized foot and ankle care. Working alongside podiatrists and the clinical care team, you will assist with patient assessments, minor office procedures, wound care, patient education, and care coordination to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time position, Monday - Friday, daytime hours.
- Schedule may vary based on department and provider needs.
- No holidays or overnight shifts.
- Occasional outreach travel is required to support patient care at designated clinic locations.
- Fast-paced specialty clinic caring for patients with a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions.

Primary Responsibilities
- Escort patients to examination rooms, obtain and document vital signs, update medical histories, and reconcile medications.
- Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and in-office podiatric procedures.
- Assist providers during procedures, including wound care, nail procedures, injections, casting, splinting, and dressing changes within scope of practice.
- Perform clinical tasks including specimen collection, medication administration, and patient education as directed.
- Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, medication refills, and follow-up appointments.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms, instruments, and clinical supplies while following infection prevention standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, home care instructions, and follow-up recommendations.
- Collaborate with providers and care team members to promote efficient clinic flow and an exceptional patient experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Podiatry operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current CPR certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- One to two years of experience as a Medical Assistant, CNA, PCA, or in a similar clinical role preferred.
- Previous experience in podiatry, orthopedics, wound care, or another surgical specialty is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while delivering compassionate patient care.
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $16.12 - $24.18 per hour with actual pay determined by experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through bonuses and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
