A small private medical practice is seeking a dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant to support patient care, clinical workflows, and day-to-day office operations. The Medical Assistant will assist with rooming patients, taking vitals, documenting information, supporting procedures, coordinating care, and helping ensure the practice runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and room patients in a friendly, professional manner
Take and record vital signs, patient history, medications, and reason for visit
Assist providers with exams, procedures, and routine clinical tasks
Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies are stocked and organized
Perform basic clinical duties such as injections, specimen collection, EKGs, or point-of-care testing, as assigned and within scope
Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
Communicate with patients regarding follow-up instructions, referrals, prescriptions, and basic care coordination
Answer patient questions within scope and escalate clinical concerns to the provider or appropriate team member
Support front office tasks as needed, including scheduling, phone calls, insurance updates, and patient communication
Maintain cleanliness, safety, infection control, and HIPAA compliance standards

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Medical Assistant certification or completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
Active HIPAA compliance / training credential required
Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, urgent care, or private practice preferred
