Medical Assistant Patient Scheduling & Care Coordination

Key Responsibilities:
Communicate with patients regarding appointments, scheduling updates, and program participation.
Schedule and reschedule rehab sessions while ensuring proper clinical coverage.
Coordinate with Rehab Specialists, Clinical Leads, Dieticians, and other medical staff.
Assist with onboarding patients and educating them on program equipment and expectations.
Support patients during intake processes including guidance on placement of monitoring devices such as EKG, pulse oximetry, and blood pressure cuff.
Troubleshoot basic technical issues during virtual sessions and coordinate with IT when needed.
Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Help improve scheduling workflows and patient experience processes.
Develop contingency plans for staffing gaps or scheduling conflicts.
Provide excellent customer service to a diverse patient population.
Support program improvement initiatives and additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
5+ years of Medical Assistant or similar clinical support experience.
2+ years of scheduling or care coordination experience.
Cardiology or cardiac rehab experience preferred.
Experience using EMR systems.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Comfortable working onsite in Clearwater.
