Position Title: Medical Assistant/Patient Care Coordinator Location: Simi Valley, CA 93065 Duration: 13 weeks Work Schedule: Day Shift Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM 5:15 PM (5x8s) Pay rate:
30-35$/hr. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:- Room and check in patients; obtain vital signs.
- Perform venipuncture, phlebotomy, audiometry, and vision testing as ordered.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records.
- Verify insurance, demographics, benefits, and collect co-payments.
- Process referrals and obtain required authorizations.
- Answer phones and provide clerical support.
- Prepare charts, scan/file documents, and maintain supplies and records.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- BLS certification required.
- CMA or RMA certification preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Audiometry/vision training or CHDP certification preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
