Description:
Medical Assistant / Clinical Support Specialist
Schedule:
Standard shifts: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays (9:00 AM–1:00 PM)
Locations:
Primary site based on hire
Occasional travel for coverage:
Kingston, Rhinebeck, New Paltz (for Kingston/New Paltz roles)
Poughkeepsie (for Fishkill role)

Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and patient-focused Medical Assistant / Clinical Support Specialist to join our clinical team. This position plays a key role in supporting patient flow, ensuring exceptional patient experiences, and assisting providers with daily clinical operations in a fast-paced medical office setting.

Key Responsibilities
Welcome patients and bring them to exam rooms
Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
Prepare rooms and ensure exam spaces remain clean and fully stocked
Return patient phone calls professionally and promptly
Relay clinical information from providers
Address general inquiries and support patient needs with excellent customer service
Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently
Assist with follow-up appointment reminders and care coordination
Collaborate with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to maintain smooth clinic flow
Contribute to a positive team environment
Perform additional office or clinical tasks as assigned to support daily operations

Required Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in a medical office or other fast-paced environment
Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinical setting
Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required
