Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to provide direct patient care and clinical support in a physician's office or clinical setting. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient intake, vital signs, documentation, injections, immunizations, medical procedures, point-of-care testing, referrals, and patient communication. The role also involves maintaining clean and well-stocked clinical areas, supporting infection control procedures, and ensuring accurate and confidential patient records. The ideal candidate should be able to remain calm in high-pressure situations, work effectively as part of a healthcare team, and provide excellent patient care while following all regulatory, OSHA, and safety requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document symptoms and medical history.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in the EMR.
Administer injections and immunizations as ordered.
Assist providers with medical procedures and patient care.
Perform point-of-care testing and required quality control.
Manage lab results, referrals, prescriptions, and patient communications.
Maintain clean examination rooms and manage clinical supplies.
Perform instrument sterilization, autoclave procedures, and equipment reprocessing as required.
Follow OSHA, infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate with the healthcare team and support additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program (NHA, AMCA, etc.).
BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a physician's office or clinical setting.
Reprocessing and procedural experience highly preferred.
