    Shore Primary Care is seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our medical facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical and administrative tasks, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Full and Part-time are available

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist providers with various aspects of patient care, including taking medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, and ensuring the delivery of compassionate and efficient care.
    • Perform routine clinical tasks, such as administering vaccinations, performing EKGs, obtaining vital signs, and updating patient records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
    • Communicate with insurance companies as needed to verify coverage, obtain authorizations, and ensure proper billing and reimbursement processes are followed.
    • Escort patients to exam rooms, providing a welcoming and supportive environment to enhance the patient experience.
    • Maintain a clean and organized clinical workspace, adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
    • Collaborate with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the medical facility.
    • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries, ensuring prompt and professional communication.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in a healthcare setting, with demonstrated knowledge of clinical procedures and patient care best practices.
    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
    • Proficient in administering EKGs, obtaining vital signs, and vaccine administration.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and regulations, with the ability to navigate electronic health record systems and medical software platforms.
    • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
